Step In Motion Dance Set Experience Program
SMD Set is a performance dance group setting a standard of technique and art in the dance community.
This is for dancers ages 10 and up. SMD Set will perform at up to 2 high volume locations in the dance year and get to participate in a local dance convention.
Opportunities may include; Osceola Magic Performance, Orlando Magic, and Universal Studios. These opportunities will require a certain number of dancers to participate and a specific amount of tickets sold by SMD Set for the event in order to participate.
Dancers would get to attended a Christian Dance Convention in Orlando, Dance Revolution on November 22-24 2025. This convention is $270 per dancer, be sure to add money for lunch or a packed lunch. Parents may watch for an observation fee of $45.
This opportunity is for dancers who enjoy performing in public and want to be more involved than the average studio dancer. They will set the tone for the studio by showing kindness, gentleness, and a good attitude while performing, as well as in the studio.
Dancers are required to take Ballet, Flexibility, and Tap, and can choose either Latin Jazz or Musical Theater as well as Praise Hip Hop or Praise Contemporary for the entire dance season. This means they are committing to 5 classes for the entire dance season.
SMD Set will meet for 4 weeks leading up to special performance opportunities Saturday mornings from 9am-11am. Rehearsals for events will be $80 total, regardless of any additional needed rehearsal time.
These performers will also have special opportunities on our end of the year show at no additional cost, other then possible costumes.
Performances may require additional payments for participation that will be up to each family to fulfill. Additional Costumes may be needed as well, depending on the performance prerequisites.
