Attendance and Tardiness Policies: We understand that sometimes life happens and we run late. For the safety of our dancers if a dancer is more than 15 minutes late they will be asked to sit out and observe class. This is to avoid injury due to the fact that stretching and warm up happens at the beginning of class. Your dancers' well-being is important to us and we don’t want them to get hurt.
Dancers shouldn’t miss more than a total of 5 classes after February 1st until recital day. This is because we are working hard on their recital numbers and want to be sure they feel confident on stage on their big day.
Make-up Classes: If a dancer is unable to come to class because of an excused absence such as; family emergency, health, school event, wedding or religious event, then the dancer may take a make-up class that the teacher sees fit for the dancer. Please ask at the desk for possible make up classes within the same month the dancer missed class. After one month the time for a make-up class the make-up has expired.
Class Cancellation: If a class is canceled we will notify you in a timely manner via email. At Step In Motion Dance we value our teachers, because of this they are allowed 2 class cancellations within the dance year due to health reasons. These cancellations are non-refundable as we understand that our teachers are hand picked as experts in their subjects and we want them to be healthy in order to do their jobs well.
